On Saturday I had the pleasure of working with Cross Roads Church located in Woodbury, MN with an additional campus in Eagan, MN. Currently the church is focusing on service and the joy of service. This last weekend they held an event called Living Out Love.
They had approximately 200+ volunteers who took part in 5 different volunteer activities that ranged from assembling care packages for our troops overseas, sorting books that will be shipped to schools in Africa, to random acts of love. The random acts included cleaning snow off of cars at an assisted living facility, shoveling driveways and spending $10 per group any way they wanted to benefit others.
My calling for the day was to go from place to place photographing what service looks like. Even though I do not do a lot of event photography I found this to be a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.
