Family Portraits
Family portraits create an heritage that you can share with generations to come. It gives parents and siblings a sense of pride to be apart of family unit that has shared laughs, tears, joys and heartaches ... but always a bond of love that is filled with memories of days past.
A family portrait should be taken every 3 to 4 years when the children are growing and then every 5 to 7 years when the family is older. Make sure to include Grandparents and Grandchildren in family portraits; while it may not seem important now, when the older generation is no longer with you it will become a priceless memory to be shared by all.
Some families prefer the traditional studio setting for their portraits, but you may wish to consider using your home or some outside setting as a background to create a special family portrait. You may also want to include a family pastime or occupation as a theme of your portrait. Some families have used farm impliments, boats, homes, cabins, cars, airplanes, camp sites and other items as a center piece or family portrait theme.
Call the Portrait Gallery to discuss your thoughts and ideas of incorporating your life into your family portrait.
