MNPPA & PPA Credential Information

Photographic credentials are professional degrees issued to individual photographers in recognition of their excellence and photographic skills.

 MPPA Accredited Photographer Emblem

The Accredited Photographer degree is the distinction Minnesota Professional Photographer's Association (MNPPA) bestows to members who have demonstrated outstanding photographic excellence.  It is awarded to those photographers with the ability to create photographs which National judges have deemed above average and worthy of delivering high customer satisfaction.

MPPA Service Degree Emblem

The MNPPA Service degree is a distinction given to photographers in Minnesota who have helped make the Minnesota Professional Photographers Assn (MNPPA) become a more viable organization.

This degree is given members who have volunteered their time and efforts over a large number of years to make it possible for other photographers to learn and improve their photographic ability.

Their are two more levels of recognition given to Minnesota Photographers for their unselfish volunteerism and work for the profession of photography. These are:

(1) Addie Award
(2) PPA National Award

If your photographer displays a service plaque of either of these distinctions, you know you have found a caring and giving photographer.
MPPA Fellowship Degree Emblem
The MNPPA Fellowship degree is a distinction given to photographers who have unselfishly given of their time, talents and ability to their fellow photographer.

They have taught classes, written articles and otherwise helped others become better photographers.

They are giving individuals who are helping the photographic industry become better by unselfishly giving of themselves.

PPA Master of Photography Emblem

The Master of Photography is a degree given by Professional Photographers of America to those individuals who have demonstrated photographic excellence.  A photographer can only be a Master if they have become a Certified Photographer.  Minnesota Professional Photographers Association is proud to be an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America.
PPA Master Artist Emblem
The Master Artist is a degree given by the Professional Photographers of America to those individuals who have demonstrated excellence in traditional print retouching and photographic artwork.  A photographer can only be a Master if they have become a Certified Photographer. Minnesota Professional Photographers Association is proud to be an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America.
PPA Master of Electronic Imaging Emblem
The Master of Electronic Imaging is a degree given by the Professional Photographers of America to those individuals who have demonstrated excellence in electronic images (computer graphics, enhancements, etc.) A photographer can only be a Master if they have become a Certified Photographer. Minnesota Professional Photographers Association is proud to be an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America.

 PPA Certified Photographer Emblem

The Certified Photographer is a credential awarded by the Professional Photographers of America to those individuals have passed a comprehensive written exam measuring their technical expertise, and have successfully submitted their work to a panel of judges for review and approval.

PPA Photographic Craftsman Emblem 

The Photographic Craftsman is a degree earned through Professional Photographers of America.  It is a degree is awarded in recognition of service as an orator, author, or mentor. 

PPA Approved Business Instructor Emblem

The Approved Business Instructor is a credential awarded by the Professional Photographers of America to those photographers who have been trained in the business of photography and are proficient enough to instruct and train other photographers.

 PPA Approved Photographic Instructor Emblem

The Approved Photographic Instructor is a credential awarded by the Professional Photographers of America to the Photographic Craftsman who have demonstrated their willingness and ability to effectively teach other photographers the secrets to their photographic excellence.
