Minnesota Professional Photographers Association’s
Code of Ethics
Section 1: Before admission to membership in Minnesota Professional Photographers Association, a person, firm or institution must, without reservation, solemnly agree to:
(1) Endeavor to maintain a dignity or manner in his/her behavior, in the presentation of photography and photographic services, in his/her appearance and that of his/her studio or place of business, and in all other forms of public contact.
(2) Observe the highest standard of honesty in all his/her transactions, avoiding the use of false, confusing, inaccurate and misleading terms, descriptions and claims.
(3) At all times endeavor to produce photographs of a quality equal or superior to the samples he/she displays, to apply his/her best efforts toward providing the best possible photographic service and to play his/her part in raising the general
standard of photographic craftsmanship.
(4) Show a friendly spirit of cooperation to his/her fellow photographers and assist them whenever possible should they be in trouble or difficulty. To think conscientiously, speak truth and do right in the spirit of fairness to all concerned; to build goodwill and better friendships through words and actions beneficial to all parties!
(5) At all times avoid the use of unfair competitive practices as determined by any court of competent jurisdiction, the Federal anti-trust laws and related statutes.
(6) Assist his/her fellow photographers and share his knowledge with them and encourage them individually and collectively to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality.
(7) Recognize the authority of Minnesota Professional Photographers Association in all manners relating to the interpretation of this Code of Ethics in accordance with the statutes of the United States of America and the various states, and the decisions of courts and governmental agencies of competent jurisdiction.
Section 2: The membership of any person, firm or institution who repudiates or violates this Code of Ethics shall be terminated in accordance to the rules of this association.
